The following is a summary and explanation of S. 815, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), as reported by the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee on September 12, 2013.   ■    Introduction Millions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and heterosexual Americans today face the possibility of beng fired from their jobs, refused work, paid less, or otherwise being subjected to employment discrimination because of their actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.
