Federal Support for Advanced Vehicle Technology
Over the past several decades, the Federal Government has undertaken key initiatives to support the development and deployment of advanced technology vehicles, either through legislation or executive action. These include Federal research and development programs on new vehicles and tax incentives for the purchase of new vehicles and the installation of alternative fuel refueling infrastructure.
