Foreign Minister Celso Amorim
Brazil served as an elected member of the United Nations Security Council from 2004 to 2005. It joined the UN on October 24, 2005. Celso Amorim was appointed Brazil’s foreign minister in January 2003. He previously served as foreign minister from 1993 to 1995.
