Bosnia and Herzegovina has been a member of the UN since May 22, 1992. Its two-year term as an elected member of the UN Security Council expires on December 31, 2011. Ivan Barbaliæ has served as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Permanent Representative to the UN since January 2009.
