In 2004, a joint task force between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Washington, D.C., Metro Police Department began an investigation of reported drug trafficking taking place at Levels nightclub in the District of Columbia. In September 2005, law enforcement placed a Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking device on the car of nightclub owner Antoine Jones, and based in part on evidence gathered by tracking Jones’s movements, was able to arrest him, along with several coconspirators.
