Senator Warren was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2012. From 2008 to 2010, she was Chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel on the Federal Troubled Asset Relief (Economic Stimulus) Program. From 2010 to 2011, she was Special Advisor for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
