On November 20, President Obama laid out his long- anticipated plan to protect approximately 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation. Under the plan, to be implemented through Executive action, certain individuals will be able to continue to live in the United States without fear of deportation and obtain a work per- mit and a Social Security number.
