A group of 10 senators, let by Dick Durbin (IL-D), is calling on the White House Office of Management and Budget to complete its review of a proposed rule (issued more than 18 months ago) to regulate e-cigarettes and other forms of tobacco as quickly as possible. In an October 21 letter, the senators cited a recent Center for Disease Control finding that e-cigarette use had tripled among high school students in one year, from 4.5 percent in 2013 to 13.4 percent in 2014.
