Earlier this year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) put forward new nutrition policies designed to reduce sodium consumption, require nutritional information in restaurants, and update nutrition labels on packaged food.While many health experts praised the new rules, opponents in Congress have added language to the spending bill that funds the FDA to delay their implementation.
