Short-Term Health Plans
On August 1, the Trump Administration moved to finalize a rule that would allow consumers to purchase health insurance plans that typically cost less but offer more limited benefits than those available under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). The plans are meant to serve as a short-term option for people who lack coverage from an employer. Some warn that these plans can deny coverage of existing medical conditions, however.
