On February 12, 2019, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (NY-D) and Representative Rosa DeLauro (NY-D) reintroduced legislation to give workers up to 12 weeks of paid leave at 66 percent of their monthly wages for a pregnancy, the birth or adoption of a child, recovery from a serious illness, or to care for a seriously ill family member.
