The Republican Party Platform
Instead of a new platform, the GOP refreshed its 2016 document
With the Republican National Convention disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Republicans did not write a new platform. Instead, delegates renewed the 2016 version and passed a one-page resolution saying the party would “continue to enthusiastically support the president’s America-first agenda” and “reject the policy positions of the Obama-Biden Administration, as well as those espoused by the Democratic National Committee today.” The Trump campaign also released a 50-item list of “core priorities” for his second term titled “Fighting For You.”
