Margaret Palmer, an expert on watershed science and restoration ecology, has served as a scientific advisor for the National Science Foundation, the National Center for Ecological Analysis & Synthesis, and the National Center for Earth Surface Dynamics. She iss an editor for the journal Restoration Ecology and co-authored the book The Foundations of Restoration Ecology.
