Senate Consideration of the CTBT
President Clinton signed the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty(CTBT) on September 24, 1996. He was the first world leader todo so. Since then, 151 other nations have signed the treaty and41 have ratified it. The treaty will enter into force after 44countries have ratified it. U.S. ratification requires the approvalof a resolution of ratification by the U.S. Senate.Submission to the Senate.
