Senator DeWine was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1994. He was Greene County (Ohio) Prosecuting Attorney from 1977 to 1981, and served as a member of the Ohio Senate from 1980 to 1982 and in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1982 to 1990.
