The following Federal Government agencies have responsibility for various aspects of asbestos detection, abatement, and cleanup.Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)Office of Research and Development, Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS). IRIS is a database of human health effects that may result from exposure to various substances found in the environment.
