Rosenbaum, Counsel of RecordBrenda Roe and Anna Doe are both recent arrivals to the State of California who applied for welfare under the California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids program (CalWORKS). After being limited for one year to the amount of aid they would have received in their previous States, they filed a class-action suit alleging the CalWORKS provision is unconstitutional.
