Patricia A. Millett, Counsel of Record Robert J. Stevens operated a business called "Dogs of Velvet and Steel" and a Web site called Pitbulllife.com, where he sold videos that contained footage of pit bulls participating in dog fights and attacking other animals. In March 2004, Stevens was indicted for violating 18 U.S. Code Section 48, a Federal prohibition on the creation, sale, or possession with intent to distribute depictions of animal cruelty.
