James Hamilton, Counsel of Record On December 4, 1995, James Hamilton received a subpoena requesting notes he had taken during a July 11, 1993, meeting with Deputy White House Counsel Vincent Foster. Hamilton is a partner with the law firm of Swidler, Berlin, Shereff, and Friedman. His practice mainly involves civil and criminal (white-collar) litigation, and government investigations.
