Representative Grijalva, of the Seventh District of Arizona, was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2002. He served as Director of the El Pueblo Neighborhood Center in Tucson from 1975 to 1986 and as a member of the Pima County Board of Supervisors from 1989 to 2002, where he was Chairman from 2000 to 2002.
