Representative McKeon, of the Twenty-Fifth District of California, was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1992. He served on the William S. Hart School District Board from 1979 to 1987, as Santa Clarita (Texas) Mayor from 1987 to 1988, and on the Santa Clarita City Council from 1988 to 1992.
