John F. Banshaf III, Counsel of RecordAction on Smoking and Health is the oldest and largest antismoking organization in the country. In 1977, it petitioned the Food and Drug Administration to regulate cigarettes, becoming the first organization to do so. John F. Banshaf III is the Executive Director of ASH. He has been an antismoking activist for over 30 years.
