Senator Inhofe was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1994. He served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 1966 to 1969 and in the Oklahoma Senate from 1969 to 1977. He was Mayor of Tulsa from 1978 to 1984 and a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1986 to 1994.
