LCV’s mission is to advocate for sound environmental policies and to elect pro-environmental candidates who will adopt and implement such policies. In 2004, LCV mobilized 18,000 volunteers who knocked on 1.3 million doors in six states in support of environmental issues. Through its National Environmental Scorecard and Presidential Report Card, LCV informs the public about the most important environmental legislation of the past congressional sessions and shows how their own and other representatives voted.
