Separate from the proposed Federal Equal Rights Amendment, 26 States have passed amendments to their constitutions that provide varying degrees of protection against discrimination based on sex, as follows: Alaska — No person is to be denied the enjoyment of any civil or political right because of race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.
