In June 2007, the Supreme Court issued its decision in Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Inc. This case involved questions about the timeliness of claims filed under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
