Rep. Pallone represents New Jersey’s 6th Congressional District. Prior to being elected to Congress in 1988, he served in the state Senate, where he was a strong advocate for the environment and issues affecting senior citizens. He is the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over a number of policy issues, including health care, energy and the environment.
