The Police Foundation, established in 1970 by the Ford Foundation, is the Nation’s oldest nonmembership, non-partisan police research organization. Its mission is to advance democratic policing through innovation and science. The foundation conducts scientific research and provides technical assistance and critical incident reviews to help police be more effective.
