NMA is the only national trade organization that represents mining interests before Congress, the Administration, Federal agencies, the judiciary, and the media. Its membership includes more than 325 corporations involved in all aspects of the mining industry. Bruce Watzman joined the organization in 1980 and previously held the positions of Legislative Representative, Director of Leasing and Regulatory Affairs, and Director of Safety and Health.
