Karen Blum, Counsel of Record The National Police Accountability Project was founded in 1999 by members of the National Lawyers Guild, the first racially integrated national bar association. Its goal is to end police abuse of authority and provide support for grassroots and victims’ organizations combating police misconduct. Karen Blum is a professor at Suffolk University Law School, where she teaches civil procedure and civil rights. She received her law degree from Harvard University in 1976.
