2007 Poverty Estimates
The following are the most recent income and poverty estimates available from the U.S. Census Bureau. Survey results for 2008 will be released in September and October 2009. Real median household income in the United States climbed 1.3 percent between 2006 and 2007, reaching $50,233, according to a report released today [August 26, 2008] by the U.S. Census Bureau.
