Planned Parenthood Committee
On October 14, the House of Representatives voted 242 to 184 to establish a special committee to investigate the practices of the reproductive health organization Planned Parenthood. The following week, outgoing Speaker of the House John Boehner (OH-R) appointed eight Republican members to the committee, which will be chaired by Representative Marsha Blackburn (TN-R) under the jurisdiction of the Energy and Commerce Committee.
