Recent Action on Renewable Energy
In the first weeks of the 110st Congress, the newly elected House Democratic leadership brought to the floor six bills as part of its “first 100 hours” agenda. No amendments were allowed on the bills, and all passed easily. The last of these was legislation to rescind approximately $7.4 billion worth of oil company tax breaks and subsidies and to invest it in clean and renewable energy.
