Its mission is the advancement and improvement of the political, educational, social, and economic status of minority groups, and the elimination of racial prejudice. It is joined in this brief by the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, which was founded to provide legal services to black persons suffering from racial discrimination. Theodore M.
