Robert “Hoot” Gibson
Retired NASA Astronaut
Robert Gibson is a retired captain and naval aviator in the U.S. Navy and a retired NASA astronaut. He was with NASA from 1978 to 1996, during which time he completed five space flights. He subsequently became a pilot for Southwest Airlines and then Chief Operating Officer and Chief Test Pilot for the Benson Space Company.
