The gaming industry in New Jersey is in trouble. Atlantic City, which used to be a major mid-Atlantic tourist destination, has fallen on economic hard times. Its boardwalk of casinos has become a victim of newer, flashier competition from Indian reservations and legalized gambling in neighboring States.
