The State of Missouri’s Department of Natural Resources operates a Scrap Tire Grant Program, which provides reimbursement for nonprofit organizations that purchase rubber playground surfaces made from recycled tires. The goal of the program is to reduce the number of used tires in State landfills and improve safety for children.
