The United States Conference of Mayors is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There are about 1,050 such cities in the country today. Collectively, Conference of Mayors members speak with a united voice on matters pertaining to organizational policies and goals. Individually, each member mayor contributes to development of national urban policy through service on one or more of the organization’s 10 standing committees.
