The 2016 election, which will determine the forty-fifth President and the forty-eighth Vice President of the United States, is characterized by a number of “firsts.” The Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, is the first woman to be nominated by a major political party and, if elected, will be America’s first woman President. The Republican nominee, Donald Trump would be the first U.S. President without prior government or military experience. At age 70, he would also be the oldest President to take office.
