Sexual Harassment in Congress
On December 13, 2018, the House and Senate passed legislation designed to address sexual harassment in Congress. The President signed it, and S. 3749, the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 Reform Act, became law on December 21, 2018. The bill was sponsored by Senators Amy Klobuchar (MN-D) and Roy Blunt (MO-R) and Representatives Jackie Speier (CA-D) and Bradley Byrne (AL-R). It passed unanimously in the Senate and the House.
