Health Care Under the One Big Beautiful Bill
Title II of the OBBBA addresses Medicaid
On May 22, 2025, the House passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA; H.R. 1), which provides for budget reconciliation pursuant to Title II of the Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for FY2025 (H.Con.Res. 14). Health coverage provisions, which impact Medicaid, the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), private health insurance, and Medicare, are included in Title IV, “Energy and Commerce,” and Title XI, “Committee on Ways and Means, ‘The One, Big, Beautiful Bill,’” of the OBBBA.
