Hard Choices in Syria
With the international peace plan in Syria faltering and violence continuing, the Obama Administration has called for tougher action and hinted at the use of force if Syrian President Bashar al-Assad does not step down, along with stronger sanctions with the intent of isolating him further. The White House maintains that it is opposed to any military action or to arming the Syrian oppositions, however.
