Recent Action on Cuba Policy
Over the years, Members of Congress have agreed on the overallU.S. objective of helping to bring democracy to Cuba — butnot on how to achieve that objective. Some advocate keeping maximumpressure on the Cuban government to enact reforms. Others favorlifting some economic sanctions that they believe are hurtingthe Cuban people.
