New Climate Bill
One day after a Green New Deal resolution died in the Senate, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA-D) introduced H.R. 9, the Climate Action Now Act. Representative Kathy Castor (FL-D), who chairs the Select Committee on Climate Crisis, sponsored the bill. The bill would forbid the administration from using Federal money to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement, which President Trump has said he would do when permitted, in November of 2020.
