The Ryan Budget
On April 10, the House of Representatives passed, by a vote of 219 to 205, a Fiscal Year 2015 budget resolution put forth by Budget Committee Chair Paul Ryan (WI-R). The budget resolution serves as a blueprint for spending levels over the next 10 years. All Democrats and 12 Republicans opposed it. The “Ryan budget” is similar to previous plans that the House has passed each year since 2011.
