At dawn on June 28, 2009, in the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa, soldiers stormed the residence of their
president, Manuel Zelaya, and whisked him off to Costa Rica, where he remains in exile. Later that day,
the president of the National Congress, Roberto Micheletti, was sworn in as the country’s interim leader.
