Roberto Micheletti
Interim President of Honduras
Robert Micheletti became interim de facto president of Honduras on June 28, 2009, when then-President Manuel Zelaya was deposed. As president of the Honduran Congress, he had been third in the line of succession for the presidency. The vice presidency, which is second in line, was vacant at that time, because the previous occupant of the office, Elvin Ernesto Santos, had resigned in December 2008 to run for president.
