Cybersecurity Legislation Derailed For the past two years, lawmakers have tried to enact a cybersecurity law that would create information-sharing programs between tech companies and the U.S. Government. But such measures ― most recently the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) ― have failed to make it to the President’s desk, and now it appears that efforts have been stymied (for this year, at least) by leaks about the scope of National Security Administration (NSA) surveillance programs.
