The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights is a coalition of more than 220 national organizations working to promote and protect civil and human rights in the United States. Founded in 1950, the Leadership Conference has coordinated national lobbying efforts on behalf of every major civil rights law since 1957. Vanita Gupta is a litigator with extensive experience in civil rights work. She is President Joe Biden’s nominee to serve as associate attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice.
