The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) is a nonprofit think tank that provides research and analysis on the economic conditions of low- and middle-income workers. Prior to joining EPI, Thea Lee served as deputy chief of staff at the AFL-CIO. She began her career as an international trade economist and has long been an advocate of working families in national policy debates.
